Back in the Saddle Again! As Points Battle’s Heat Up in Robersonville

By: Justin Kern

Robersonville, NC – After a couple weekends away from the racetrack we are back at it again this week from the high banks of East Carolina Motor Speedway just in time for things to heat up in the point’s standings – both at the track and within the state.

Brenden Queen enters the weekend two points ahead of Louis White – winner of race number two just two weeks ago – finishing one position behind Louis both times. Queen, who is also tied with White with the most wins in the state of North Carolina with four, also enters the weekend ten points ahead of Louis in the state points. Both drivers still running strong in the top 25 in the national points standings, which concludes September 18th.

Michael Fose Sweeps East Carolina – Catapults To Top Spot in North Carolina Points

By: Justin Kern

Robersonville, NC – With just about a month left to go in the NWAAS National and State title race, wins are a must and are coming at a premium. Fose, 21 of Jacksonville, North Carolina, put on a clinic two weekends ago at East Carolina Motor Speedway in not only his first Late Model Stock career win but his very first twin sweep. A track that has proven to be a good track for Fose and his career as he earned his first Limited Late Model win back in 2013

Fose paced the field earlier in the afternoon with a time of 15.451 to grab the pole position for race number one. There was no looking back for Fose after the drop of the green flag. Ten laps into race number one and Fose had opened up a solid eight-car lead over Thomas Burbage, Louis White, Tyler Matthews and Brenden Queen.

Brenden Queen Leads Every Lap to First Career Late Model Sweep at East Carolina Motor Speedway

By: Justin Kern

Robersonville, NC – Starting on the front row of any race is never a bad thing. However, like the quote says, “It’s not about where you start – it’s where you finish that counts.” Well finishing on the front row in both of your races isn’t all that bad either! Brenden Queen – of Chesapeake, VA – who has really turned up the wick so to speak with his Late Model program earned his third and fourth wins of his career this past Saturday at East Carolina Motor Speedway. Queen did it in somewhat dominating fashion as he started from the pole in both sets of twin 40- lap features and lead every lap from start to finish.

“This is just great,” Queen said in victory lane after the race. “This is the first time sweeping a late model race and the first time since October 16, 2011 in the Legend cars out at Southside Speedway.”
