Brenden Queen Leads Every Lap to First Career Late Model Sweep at East Carolina Motor Speedway

By: Justin Kern

Robersonville, NC – Starting on the front row of any race is never a bad thing. However, like the quote says, “It’s not about where you start – it’s where you finish that counts.” Well finishing on the front row in both of your races isn’t all that bad either! Brenden Queen – of Chesapeake, VA – who has really turned up the wick so to speak with his Late Model program earned his third and fourth wins of his career this past Saturday at East Carolina Motor Speedway. Queen did it in somewhat dominating fashion as he started from the pole in both sets of twin 40- lap features and lead every lap from start to finish.

“This is just great,” Queen said in victory lane after the race. “This is the first time sweeping a late model race and the first time since October 16, 2011 in the Legend cars out at Southside Speedway.”

Louis White Wins Second Race of the Night in Honor of Friend Bradley McCaskill

By: Justin Kern

Louis White had the honors yet again of leading the field down to the green for race number two on the night after both of his laps were faster in time trials earlier in the afternoon. This time however, he was able to hold off the pack for a very special win for he and his team.

White had to deal with the likes of Matt Bowling and Michael Fose for most of the race but was able to hold them off for the advertised 35-lap distance. In a race that saw just two cautions, the first coming from Paul Williamson, had Louis doing a little bit of mirror driving twice as Bowling applied some pressure early but fell a bit off the pace citing some possible issue with the tires after that first caution.

Matt Bowling Earns First Career Win at East Carolina

By: Justin Kern

Robersonville, NC – After a wild night of racing the week before that saw eight cars tangled up on the front stretch, sixteen cars rolled into East Carolina Motor Speedway for the I’m Lovin it 220. Five of the top forty NWAAS Late Model Stock Car drivers were in attendance this weekend with one of them being the National Points leader Matt Bowling.

Louis White ended up grabbing the pole in both Late Model features earlier in the afternoon during qualifying after setting the two fastest times. Doing things just a bit different than most tracks that run twin features, the drivers fastest lap set the field for the first feature while the slowest lap set the starting order for the second race.
